Groundworks Methods and Technical Details
Strip foundations are excavated to building control-approved depth — typically 1 metre minimum, deeper on clay soils — and filled with concrete to specification.
Sub-base preparation for driveways uses MOT Type 1 aggregate compacted in layers to achieve the required bearing capacity.
Soakaways are sized based on the impermeable area being drained and installed with appropriate aggregate and geotextile wrapping.
We coordinate with building control inspectors for all foundation work, ensuring approvals at each critical stage.
